Has love made you it's VooDoo Doll?!?
Well...put some VooDoo back on love...with this Valentine VooDoo Doll!
All you need is a styrofoam/foam ball, yarn and hot glue.
Start by gluing a patch of yarn onto your ball.
Let that dry for a bit and then start wrapping your yarn around the ball until it is covered.
We'll call this 'the head'
Then take a few strands of yarn ~ I used 4 ~ and wrap them around 'the head' and tie a knot, leaving strands hanging. We'll call those strands 'the ribcage'
Now for the 'arms and legs'...
Loop the yarn at a desired length 3-4 times ~ my length was 8 1/2"
Take the long end {the end shown on the right in the above picture} and tightly wrap it around and then glue the end so that it doesn't unravel. do this twice...
On a completely different note - I have NO CLUE why my counter is changing colors in each picture.
Hmmm.....
Lay out your 'arms/legs' next to 'the ribcage'
Lay the pieces out so that their will be some 'stubs' poking out near he head. These will end up being 'the arms'...
Trim 'the ribcage' to the length of 'the torso' that you are about to make and then start wrapping.
I do a criss cross technique around the arms/torso/neck so that 'the arms' stay steady.
Finish the torso off with a dab of hot glue {in the back} and voila...
Hot glue a heart button on 'the torso'
{sorry...didn't get a pic of this step but I think y'all can figure it out}
Hot glue two heart buttons to a needle...
Let it dry for a second...and then...well...
stab 'LOVE' in the heart!
Now you've put some VooDoo back on LOVE!
Note ~ I got this tutorial for these yarn voodoo dolls years ago...somewhere.
The Love VooDoo Doll is my twist on it.

This is really cute!
