Cake Pops: ONE!!!

Let's not get ahead of ourselves!

Almost TWO years ago, I purchased me a cute little 

Babycakes Cake Pop Maker!

And then the inevitable happened...

It sat...

and sat...

sat some more...

and sat...

until finally, my cutie patootie 'niece' got one for Christmas and wanted to try it out!

So...here is...
 Cake Pops vs. Me!

We decided to make a mommy / kid night out of it 

{me, DIVA, my BESTIE, and her two kidlets}
so both me and 'my niece' were about to take our

Cake Pop Makers OUT of the box!!!

Initially, we called our little get together...

Cake Pop WARS!  

I WON BTW...totally did!

See!

Not bad for my first try, eh!?!

BTW ~ We used ONE cake mix (yes, a box) and it made approximately 80 balls!

I thought I was totally AWESOME at this point! 

I may have even gloated a bit...

which is probably why this happened!

I'll give you a minute to laugh out loud!

What we learned...

The Babycakes Chocolatiers takes FOREVER to heat up!

Switching to my mini crockpot melted the chocolate MUCH faster...BUT...

we only bought one bag of Candy Melts, and this crockpot is wider than the Babycakes Chocolatier!

NOT ENOUGH CHOCOLATE TO DIP!!!

And FINALLY!

To READ the directions!!!

I have this book...GREAT directions! 

Did we read them?

NO!!!

But we continued to decorate {and eat} anyways!

I should have a 'Caption This' contest...bwahahahahahaha!

So...while this wasn't quite a success...it was fun!  And that's good in my book!
