How To Tie a Floral Bow {how to}

How To
Tie a Floral Bow

What is a Floral Bow you ask?!?  Well...I'll tell ya!
A floral bow is one that has a variety of loop sizes.
The larger loops are around the outside of the bow and the sizes gradually get smaller towards the center. They may have as few as four to eight loops or as many as twenty to thirty loops.
The loops are spread apart to make the shape oval or round and two tails are generally hanging below.

I have ALWAYS wanted to learn how to tie flroal bows!
But until now, I never had a reason...well, now I do!
{that reason will be shared inthe near future}
And, honestly, I was shocked at how simple it was!

Note - Wired Ribbon does work best for these types of bows.
I used Burlap Wired Ribbon that was 2 inches wide.

Step 1: Pinch the ribbon and make a loop leaving the tail the desired lenght.  I left an 8 inch tail.

Step 2: Make 7 additional loops, creating larger loops toward the center and smaller loops toward the edges, for a total of 8 loops.

Step 3: Pinch the loop bases inward and wrap the longer of your two tails around it all to make a simple knot. Secure this with some thin wire.

Step 4: Spread and arrange the loops to your liking, cut the ends of the tails into V shapes or diagonal points

I'm completely satisfied with my first attempt!
I'll be practicing on more pliable ribbon in the future...burlap was a bit more difficult I think.
